Happy New Year!
I'm sitting here thinking about how to sum up the past year. I saw that LJ:s Writer's Block suggestion was to write about regrets, but I find that very depressing. Instead, I like to remember and focus on all the good things that happened to me in 2011. I met a kind and lovely guy who shares a lot of my interests and whose company I enjoy very much. I broke all my NaNo records and ended up with a story that might possibly be publishable once I get off my ass and start editing. I got accepted to the Swedish School of Library and Information Science and I'll start the first distance course immediately after the new year. While I didn't write as much as I would have liked, I'm quite pleased with the stories I did write. I made it through last winter without having to resort to anti-depressants and I hope I'll make it through this one as well.
I know this has been a difficult year for many people on my f-list and I hope 2012 will be easier on us all. I hope that we get to spend it with the people we love, doing the things that make us happy.
Now, I'm going to jump into the shower and start getting ready for tonight's party. I have pink bubbles in the fridge and a new red blouse that makes me feel pretty so I'm all set for a great evening!
