How senseless
My cousin, Brian Robert Bowman, was a 23 year old, newly-wed, army medic with the 1st Battalion of the 12th Infantry Regiment based in Fort Carson, Colorado.
He was killed yesterday in a roadside bombing in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
His body will be transported to Boston (I think) sometime in the next five days, where they will do an autopsy, and then his wife and mother will come identify and claim his body.
Brian was one of the first four US casualties of the war in 2010.
This is disgusting.
This war is stupid.
I know he knew what the risks in joining the army during a war were, but seriously, this is ridiculous. They weren't even in combat. He just blown up. For no good reason.
Mr. President, please stop sending soldiers to their deaths.
