I'm so boring
Haven't updated in a while. Mostly because things have been kind of dull, yo.
Except my birthday in on the 22nd. So that isn't dull at all. That is rockin'.
Other than that, my students are weird. One of them told me that mikans(small oranges) were the third greatest swimmers in the world(the second being him and the first being Astro Boy OF COURSE). The reason for this being that they use the two leaves on their stems like jet propellers and can zoom through water at great speeds.
I couldn't make something like that up if I tried.
And then my JTE came up to me with a marker and asked what we called in English. I told him we called it a marker.
JTE: You don't call them "magic"?
Me: I...what?
JTE: In Japan, we call this "magic".
Me: ...oh. .....why?
JTE: I don't know. =/
I really think he was just fucking with me because wtf.
Somewhere, out there, there is a Japan that makes sense.
