Grace under fire

Death to the unbelievers, i says.

I am tired. tired. tired. my body and mind have given up on me and all I can muster up energy for is lying in bed and reading. which. actuallly. makes it a very nice weekend indeed.

Oh yea, st. paddy's day. so I finally remembered to wiki it and discover to whose honour I am getting drunK. He chased snakes (codeword for druids) out of ireland, and using a shamrock taught the irish about the holy trinity  (three leaves = three gods...nyah see? but it's all like... one plant, one god...). Those that believe in the trinity are nuts. that was innaproriate. they're ... well... ok... it's just a really unnecesarily complicated and ungraceful system.

through faith alone.

I remember Peter Abelaard, Thomas Aquinas, and Augustine. But... best of all, that poor bastard who wrote "Grace abounding to the chief of sinners" ... forgot his name. Early 18th century christian biographer and incredibly entertatining. I'm so happy that some university courses forced early christian philosophy down my throat because I'd never read it otherwise. And there is much to gain from it. constructive snickering at catholicism for one.

man, i am such a repository of useless shit. seriously. when I die and a million writhing things bloat my body and the seams of my skin stretch and burst, what comes out will be a log of hardened shit entitled "people's history of china 1840-1910".

on positive news i am happy. like when a bug meets a windshield.
