As promised...weeks late, but better than never...

'TIME AFTER TIME' - THE B&W EDITION

[Now on TUMBLR]
I was just going to do the collage picspam and be done with it, but I realized the smallness didn't do appreciation to the perfection of some of these shots. Especially some of the long shots, Phil Sgriccia was definitely embracing them in spades! I don't do full-length picspam often but because some shots were just so downright exact, once I B&Wed the episode, I knew it had to be done. Some of them looked plucked RIGHT out of a 1940s film. Ackles, as the man I've said for years had a face built for the silver screen obviously had his moments of awesomeness. But it's the supporting characters that really took me back in time. Special props to the actress that played Ezra, the actor that played the old man that owned the squatted house, and of course, Nicholas Lea whose face was easily responsible for my top 3 caps. They were so reminiscent of 40's character actors, it was freaky. And then add in the clothes, and the hats, and the cars, and the shadows, and the lighting. I swear, if you look at these long enough....

It's like...

Supernatural, the 1944 motion picture! Now from Warner Bros Pictures!

Orphaned Winchester brothers in Depression Times get by fending for themselves,
conniving some, helping others, and looking out for each other. When Dean mysteriously
timetravels ten years into the future, Sam races against the clock to get him back.

Starring...

Jensen Ackles

Jared Padalecki

with...

Nicholas Lea

Kim Rhodes

and Linda Darlow...

THIS IS ONE PICTURE YOU WON'T FORGET!

[Yes I watched too many 40s film trailers for my BB promo this past summer.]

Here, benefit from my madness and start some music before you start scrolling:

Some of you might remember how much I friggin ADORE old movies, if for no other reason than the simple quality of LOVING the musical sounds that came out of them. Yes, I am the weird girl who will turn on TCM *just* for the music (if it's a film prior to 1950 that is). So like the western ep, I couldn't help but put together a small 40's ep playlist. For all you music history buffs or...vidders (hint!hint!) out there, my favorite old movie-sounding 40s big band & swing:

OLD MOVIE 40s SWING/BIGBAND [9 track ZIP file]

Hope y'all can enjoy! XD
