SPN - 6.18 - Frontierland [PICSPAM]
I’ve been mostly just lurking with the occasional drive-by comment the last couple months, it’s funny I just haven’t really been feeling SPN since it came back from winter hiatus, and I’m not sure whether it was just all the other shit I had on my plate lately, or whether every single episode became nothing more to me than one episode closer to THE EPISODE WHICH IS TO END ALL EPISODES OF FANGIRL WISH FULFILLMENT EVER. Really, I’ve been one-track mind fan since January. *fade to black* "Well that was nice, but OMG WESTERN EP!!" So the possibility that this hour could have let me down was huge. Instead?

aka the ep I broke a fangirl muscle flailing over because seriously...there are no words, folks. NO WORDS.
NO, REALLY. NO WORDS CAN ADEQUATELY CONVEY THIS FEELING.
There is a good chance nothing on TV will ever be as fulfilling as those 40 minutes last night. NOTHING WILL EVER TOP THIS. And you know what? THAT IS TOTALLY OKAY WITH ME.
Of course, the thing was 90% VISUAL PORN, as it ought to have been, and I just couldn't stop capping, so my appreciation of this episode, IN PICSPAM FORM:
SERA GAMBLE, LADIES AND GENTLEMAN! Generally I think the mother of all crap is lame, and things have been uneven as hell since Sam got his soul back, but for making this happen? That woman will forever be the patron saint of my fangirl heart.
And seriously, the whole SPN crew needs to take a bow for this, the sets and the costumes and guest casting! UGH, SO PERFECT. It really felt like Sam and Dean were alien invaders of the future in that town full of 1861 inhabitants there. EXACTLY AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
Now I just want to see the show wrap up with some modicum of dignity over the next year and get these boys some semblance of a movie career so one day someone will be smart enough to cast those two in a real ass western where they wear real period clothes and have enough money to do a full-out horse chase together. What, a fangirl still has to dream, don’t you know?
In conclusion: COWBOY WINCHESTER BROS.

In other news, TV was so good this week I didn't even know what to do with it. Community killed laughing muscles I didn't know I had (CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT MOST METATASTIC SHOUTOUT TO FANDOM SHIPPER VIDDING EVER???), Office tugged heart strings with a full cast goodbye song that didn't leave a dry eye in the house, Parenthood had me crying from the first two minutes in (I AM LOVING THIS FAMILY SO MUCH I CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU, EVERYONE SHOULD BE WATCHING THIS SHOW), Parks & Recreation continues to be my FAVORITE THING ON TV (no, really, Leslie Knope, you deserve a medal!)...
