Of course it's SPN that ultimately brings me out of my hole. I'm sure none of you are surprised. Sometimes being slightly spoiled gives you such low expectations that you completely underestimate its potential and it slowly creeps up to ABSOLUTELY DESTROY YOU.
First, I must apologize for not being around AT ALL, I totally MISS YOU ALL and all you're WACKY CRAZY WAYS so very much. Unfortunately (well, fortunately for my sanity, not so much for my fandom-loving self) after my nutty crazy fall semester and primary campaigning, I'm now actually ABROAD for the spring term. And since I'm only in Europe for six months and do not see any other time in the foreseeable future where I may get back here, I've become super determined to make the most of it and see everything I humanely possibly can in that short time and that entails LOST of traveling and leaves for very few moments of fandom time and All Things Internet.
But tonight, I was dead tired, feet killing me, and I definitely ready to just have a nice quiet evening, sit down and catch up with some tv, go to bed early, all that jazz. Little did I know picking SPN 3.11 to watch would completely turn those plans UPSIDE DOWN because...
HOLY FUCKIN' FUCK, WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY SAMMMMMMMMY?!?!?!?! MY GOD GUYS, WHAT DID THEY DOOOOOOOOOOO?!!?!!?!?!
I'd apologize for the capslocking madness ahead but HI, I AM A COMPLETE WRECK. LEFT IN COMPLETE AND UTTER MESS. I HAVE LOST ALL CAPABILITY OF FUNCTIONAL THOUGHT.
I KNOW I KEEP SAYING THIS BUT REALLY. THIS TIME THERE WILL BE AN EP POST FOR THIS ONE. AND IT WILL BE EPIC. I SWEAR. I think I wrote almost TEN PAGES during my FOUR HOURS of watching this thing. I believe HALF was mindless FREAKOUT. The other half was LAUGHING MY ASS OFF. Of course, that's why it took me nearly FOUR HOURS to watch it clear through. I swear, this ep ran under and still it seemed like the longest most packed ep since...FOREVER.
I swear, I felt so schizo watching this episode. At least the first half. It was like this:
1) LAUGH ASS OFF at Dean's ASIA LIP SYNCHING and HUNDRED AND ONE CRAZY FAAAACES in the bathroom,
2) Smile adoringly at Diner Brother Banter (OMG, PRECISELY-TIMED UNIFIED BROTHER DIALOGUE! I DIED. OH YES, I DID. I DEFINITELY DID.)
3) GASP!/JUMP/CRINGE/DIE-FROM-LAUGHTER at the HUNDRED AND ONE different ways to KILL DEAN!,
4) Become ridiculously whibbly at SAM'S REACTIONS to the DEAD!DEANs,
5) BURST OUT LAUGHING AT 'HEAAAATTTT OF THE MOMENT!' BLARING.
RINSE. WASH. REPEAT. A MILLION TIMES OVER.
BUT THE LAST HALF! GUYS! WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY SAMMY?! WHAT DID THEY DOOOO?!??! HE WENT INTO THIS SUPERPSYCHO SERIAL KILLER MACHINE MODE. How can ANYONE FUNCTION after going through that for THREE MONTHS? I'M FLIPPING OUT AGAIN JUST THINKING ABOUT IT! And then he didn't tell Dean a thing about it. That's the worst, I think, he didn't say a thing. GOD THAT HURT.
