The Writers Strike accomplished what again?
Because it sure as hell didn't do much on the pointless remake/reboot/re-imagine/(no matter what new word gets invented, not fooling anybody) front.

Could have done a continuation. Maybe mix things up a little and switch the roles and have Twigs be a Crow. Just leave the writers alone and let them be creative. But, noooooo. Hollywood bigwigs need to buy more fancy cars and vacation homes, so once again blinded by dollar signs, issuing stupid orders and unhelpful suggestions.
Meanwhile there's countless books and stories that would make for fresh and interesting movies, but being passed over in favor of "This made lots of money before, going to milk it and squeeze out every last drop."
