Back from AWA~
And it was a total blast. ;o; Walking in uncomfy shoes, being way too hot in wigs and suits, occasional creepy guys, sitting in line for hours, getting rained on, and nervously waiting to perform, and it was all so totally worth it it's not even funny. <3
Some favorite cosplayers from the weekend:
Batman - Harley Quinn [She had the voice down perfectly! :D]
Death Note - Ryuuku [This was just amazing. He controlled the hands with puppet sticks; it was creepy watching it move. :D]
Howl's Moving Castle - Grandma Sophie with Turnip/Kabu [This just made me really happy. :<]
Metroid Series - Samus [Light-up suit was awesome~ Only thing better would've been to have the helmet too. D:]
Watchmen - Rorschach and Silk Spectre I [The Rorshach's attention to detail was awesome~ You should see the coat up close. :O]
Spirited Away/Sen to Chihiro... - Noface [The person held out the bucket and made the "Ah, ah!" noises. ;o;]
D - Ouka Saki Some ni Keri Asagi [Best Food Court surprise ever]
Resident Evil Series - Meet-Up [That Wesker was badass. *o* And the Chainsaw Majini ironically made me really happy. <3]
Harry Potter Series - Meet-Up [This meet-up was MASSIVE; this is only some of them, since I couldn't fit them all in the frame at once.]
Harry Potter Series - Draco x4 [Guess everyone knows AVPM is ~*Totally Awesome*~ \m/ (Nope, sorry, it still hasn't gotten old yet. :3)]
I wish I'd kept a tally of the number of times we got our picture taken over the course of the weekend, because I'm pretty sure the total'd be well over 100. It was hard getting anywhere as the Host Club group, or finishing our drinks as Sailor Senshi, but people's reactions were awesome. X3
Sailor Moon - Large Group [We ended up in the same place at the same time as a big Sailor Moon group twice, and people'd ask for all of us in the picture. This was the first time we got stuck for pictures for like five minutes running. I'm the Uranus (short blond wig) by the way~]
Ouran High School Host Club - Group [It all came together so well~ ;o; I'm going to keep looking for a better shot of us. It's a shame Mori couldn't be with us on Sunday. :<]
Ouran High School Host Club - Nekozawa [My little brother's first cosplay. *so proud* ;^;]
Ouran High School Host Club - Kyouya [Me \o/]
Between all the wonderful cosplayers, the great comments, compliments, and occasional hugs we got, and the epic lulz all around, this was definitely my favorite con experience yet. Hope I'll get to come back the year after next~ :D
