Transfer!
I finally got into a department at work that I've been trying to get into for awhile now.
There are alot of good things about this department. They have every weekend off, they get 1-3 hours of overtime everyday. And they are right around the corner from where I work now, so they use the same lunchroom and time clock. So I'll still be able to see all my friends I have in my current dept.
The only bad thing is that they have a pretty crappy boss. But hopefully I won't have to deal with that for too long. Because she is kinda old and I think she's only like a year or two from retirement age.
The work is very similar. I'll be driving the same type of lift. But now I'll be loading trucks. The pay will be about the same but now I'll be getting more overtime so my paychecks will be bigger.
I will have to wait until they replace me in my dept. before I can actually start working over there. And that may be a 3-5 weeks. But at least I know it's coming soon.
So I'm really quite happy right now.
