Cabled bag ideas?
Okay I've got about 300 yards of DK weight Encore in a pretty light green.. I want to do a small to medium size bag with cables hopefully in round... Anyone have any ideas?? I'm thinking of maybe adapting Marina from the book 25 Bags to Knit or maybe just taking a cable pattern I like, casting on some stitches and knitting til it's done.. I have some awesome wooden handles I'd love to use, it's like 8 to 10 inches, with a slot for the yarn to go in, all the way across so it holds up the sides.. I'll definitly be lining the bag with some sort of fabric so that'll take care of the wobbley stuff.. Probably also be sewing a zipper into the liner for closure so I don't have to worry about snaps or anything..
