Brazilliant!
I wanted to write a lengthy, detailed entry about the Salt Lake trip, but I can't seem to do it. So much has happened in the past few days that it already seems fuzzy. Here are some highlights:
* Having all of us (me, enemabagjones, hiphorrific, phikus, jamayia, and hmfeelyat) together in the same place for the first time since Memorial Day '04. Our own little Armageddon Six.
* Erin & Darren's wedding: It was held in a Unitarian church and was a very nice ceremony. Not too long, not too churchy, and very sweet. I got a little choked up watching all my friends cry as two of my other friends got married (and cried). Congratulations, Darrerin!
* The reception: Jessica caught the bouquet, because apparently that's what we female types do at our best friend's wedding. I danced with summerpatrol. Heidi danced with the bride. There was much food and laughter and merriment.
* jamayia is the best for driving my sorry ass around everywhere. Well, the car kind of got wrecked halfway through the trip, so she didn't drive so much after that, but she did give me lodging and late-night giggly talks, so she remains the best. She also woke up with me at 4 in the morning to go to the airport, for which she gets life-long props. Here she is wearing NO PANTS.
* New friends: summerpatrol, we_genie, Steve & Kayla. Now next time the Utah crew comes out for a visit they'll need to rent a tour bus to fit all eight of them!
* Sunday: being inspired by Brian's grass-writing to make (then eat) pie, tree-climbing, playing in the garage (I was on drums for most of the time, believe it or not), playing (and nearly dying) on the trampoline, eating at Del Taco, and being caught in awkward gay positions, as always.
