New Year's Resolutions

Dec 31, 2009 14:05

1. Continue to do the things I need to do to control my diabetes.
2. Eat better--cook more meals at home and eat out less.
3. Lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
4. Exercise more--return to the gym and use the membership.
5. Keep a more positive attitude and let go of the pessimism.
6. Compromise more with friends and family members.
7. Go out more with friends and make new friends.
8. Make the time to stay in touch with friends and family members who live far away.
9. Do not become isolated and a homebody.
10. Let go of the weather-based fear, especially with regards to driving.

Change can only occur if you make the determination to do so and work towards your goals. I have given myself a list that should not be too challenging and really will save my life because if I do not do most of those things, the diabetes will kill me. Others on the list have kept me from being happy and I am determined to not let the glass be half empty. I will find a way to live my bliss and pass joy onto others.

Peace and blessings to you all in the new year.
