Got to K-Days yesterday. I told everyone I was just going for the concert, but I meant to try some of the games and food too. After the 30 minutes late start because Keith didn't want to get up, and the 30 minutes wait in line at the place and the realization we came in at the exact furthest gate from the stage we actually did just make it to the concert.

I was a bit pouty as we went through the fair as I was certain that we were going to get stuck way at the back like we were a few years ago when we tried to see Mr. Good perform. However Keith is a trooper and pulled me over there and sure enough, the opening act was still on, and there was no fence this year! We got to be in the 4th or so row! (I guess turning up 40 minutes early is early enough. I wanted to be at least an hour early.)

We felt very old as we didn't even know who the openers were, but they had cool beards and we enjoyed them. Matt rocked as usual. An awesome set of mostly older stuff. Some really classic songs and Keith and I danced our hearts out though the majority of the crowd seemed to be 'texters'.

As I did the old bounce-jump to 'Load Me Up' all I could think was "I wish my Liz were here", but Keith was not a terrible substitute. There was also a guy near us who looked disturbingly like an extra-blond pete.....

Got a tee-shirt too, although it is a mens as the girls ones sold out of reasonable sizes before we got there.

It was a great night overall made even more interesting by trying to take the train home with the hundreds of Iron Maiden fans coming out of the Coliseum at the same time as us. Talk about a claustrophobic platform, people were literally standing on the edge, but everyone was very polite and made sure Keith and I could get off at our stop.
