Various Drabbles

Jan 07, 2012 22:17

Just posting something to let you guys know I'm alive and writing. I just don't have anything ready to put up yet. So here's some glam_100 drabbles.

Title: And It Hits You Like A Train
Pairing/Characters: Past Adam/Sauli
Rating (Word Count): PG, 100
Warning(s): None
Author's notes: Little angsty, post fame story.

It all went by so fast.

For a few years, his life was a constant high of success, money and love. He'd had it all and he did appreciate it-he knew he did. But he wasn't ready for the fall.

A change in musical directions left him a has-been. Bad business decisions drained his bank account. And finally, his boyfriend couldn't take the pressure and went back to Finland.

And now he was alone and broke. He worked small clubs and small theater roles. He became more isolated as people faded from his life.

And time just kept going.

Title: Enjoy the Silence
Pairing/Characters: Adam, mentions of Adam/Sauli
Rating (Word Count): PG, 100
Warning(s): None

Adam had the house to himself and he looked forward to it.

Sauli had flown back to Finland for a few days, leaving Adam home to work. Normally being without his boy was depressing, but tonight he drew a hot bath, poured a glass of wine and relaxed.

There was no music, no TV, nothing to distract him. He was alone, and it didn't scare him. He could miss Sauli without the desperate churn of need. He could accept silence instead of needing the constant clang of noise.

Adam sipped his wine and looked at Sauli's last message: Love yourself.

Title: The Morning After Cafe
Pairing/Characters: Tommy, Isaac
Rating (Word Count): PG, 100
Warning(s): None
Author's notes: A tribute to blue collar greasy spoons everywhere.

"This is awesome," Isaac said, taking another bite of his burger (two for $4.00) while looking around. Tommy had taken him to a small, grungy place with Formica tables and a jukebox full of the 80's best R&B hits.

Tommy grinned over his cheeseburger and PBR. "This is the only place in town that'll give you burgers and beer at nine o'clock. You better be grateful, I don't share this place with just anyone."

Isaac blinked his eyes against the daylight streaming through the windows in an annoying fashion. He drummed his fingers to "Juicy Fruit".

"It's the best secret ever."

Title: Houses Made of Legos
Pairing/Characters: Adam/Sauli, Riff
Rating (Word Count): 100x2
Warning(s): None
Author's notes: Domestic fluff and baby fever

“Uncle Adam!” Adam grinned as his godson ran up, arms up. He picked Riff up and hugged him close, his little head tucked in Adam’s neck. “Playroom!” Riff shrieked a little too close to his ear. Adam laughed, loving it as Riff looked over his shoulder. “Uncle Sauli! Playroom!”

“Yes, let’s play!” Sauli took Adam from his arms and they all marched into the room that held Riff’s insane amount of toys. Legos dominated the room, but there was also a little indoor slide and stuffed animals, including dolls and Raggedy Andy. It was perfect for him.

They played for hours, until Adam’s back was sore from sitting on the floor. After helping Riff pick up his toys, they hugged him goodbye for what seemed like forever. “Bye Uncle Adam, Uncle Sauli,” Riff said. “Come back and play some more soon.”

“Of course,” Sauli said, and he held Adam’s hand to the car. Then they looked at each other, and Adam could see the longing in Sauli’s face. “One day?” He said, and Adam nodded, trying not to tear up as he started the car.

“One day baby, I swear we will.” And he meant every word.
