During Quiet Time, a quick update

Four is an interesting age. And very very aggravating. On the other hand, he can get himself dressed in the morning and loves to do things for his Baby Sister. And where did those long legs come from? He is a boy indeed. And fascinated with poop, along with all his friends. preschoolers. *shakes head*

Celes has finally had a bath without a tear. Yes, the diaper and tank top combination worked, and I learned what I will need to remove from the kitchen sink area next time. She even let me wash her hair without any real protest, something her brother still has problems with. She's not overly enthusiastic about water yet, but baths might not be evil after all.

My glasses are still broken. After waiting a week for my dear wonderful husband to take his crack at them, I made an eye appointment for tomorrow morning. Since I have no babysitting for my daughter yet, we will have to see what happens. It might be ok to take her, I have no idea. But since the wonderful tape job that the lady did has finally died, and its replacement is not doing well, it has to happen for me to remain functional. Also, because my son now thinks that glasses are supposed to have tape on them. :(

Last Thursday was my last ultrasound, and both kids got to come. Caedmon was fascinated and Celes wanted to know why she couldn't go to Mommy. And then on the screen is... #3. My God, there are 3 of them, and for the first time they were all in one room together. Yikes. Pretty soon afterward I got the urge to go through the things Celes has outgrown, organizing what I will use for Baby (Caedmon's name for her) and culling what I will not. That gets added to the clothes Caedmon has outgrown to be either sold or donated.

Now if we could just decide how and where we are going to eat when there are two highchairs involved...

And the sounds I hear in the background tell me that Quiet Time is over. It's time to reintroduce Celes to eye drops.... goody.
