Our country held a telethon during this weekend to help raise money for the Japanese..
We were to donate money and tuna cans....
I work at the bank and tonight I was scheduled to sit at a donation box...
I was happy to see many people donating money.. big notes small notes
I was proud that we were all coming together as one to help a country that has provided us sanctity in many many situations
I was elated to know that we were able to help the Japanese in any way we can..
Whilst I was sitting at the table, a Japanese woman approached. She expressed how happy she was that we were doing this.. She couldn't speak that well in English but I could see how grateful and touched she was. That was the moment it hit me...
No matter big or small the knowledge that everyone in my country is trying their best to help them means soo much to them..
This same thought would apply to anyone from any race, nation and culture..
I was honored to have helped them and will continue to help them in any way I can...
This doesn't just go for Japan...
If any country is in dire need of assistance, I will try my best to do even a small gesture to help them..
I pray to Allah that He will protect the Japanese and show them the light..
I wish for peace and serenity throughout the world and I want to express that Japan is not the only country in my mind...
Libya is in my prayers and I pray that they be granted peace and love that we all deserve as human beings...
Amen!!!
