Hot, Outside, Naked
“We should be naked. Why aren’t we naked?”
Bran looked up with a grin. “It’s too hot for sex. Besides, I’m busy.”
Kevin scowled. “It’s never too hot for sex. I can’t believe you’d rather mess around with your weeds instead of letting me blow you.”
“These are flowers, not weeds.”
“Potato, tomato, whatever.”
“That doesn’t make sense.”
“Sure it does.”
Bran sat back on his heels and wiped the sweat off his brow. “Don’t you have something you should be doing?”
Kevin grinned and pounced.
“No not outside-,” Kevin managed before his breath was stolen with a kiss.
Mist, Ordeal, Shoelace
“Are you sure about this?”
Daniel settled the leather jacket over his shoulders. A few twists promised he wouldn’t have trouble reaching the knife tucked against his spine. “I’ve decided.
Kale sighed. He strode to an ornate box resting on the mantle. Withdrawing a silver dagger he handed it to Daniel.
“In that case take this. It will help you in your ordeal.”
Daniel raised a brow but took the knife.
“The mist will come quickly,” Kale murmured. “It will be over in moments.”
“I understand,” Daniel said. As he spoke he touched the stained shoelace knotted around his wrist.
Earth, Wind, Fire, Crop circles
“I hate my life.” Percy slumped in his chair, his body aching.
“Rough assignment?” Vivian asked.
“You’ve no idea. After months of sleeping in the dirt and eating leaves I was finally allowed to attend a Coven ceremony.”
Interest replaced feigned sympathy. “How’d it go?”
“Great. Until I was excused.” He rubbed his neck. “Apparently only fire, earth, and wind were allowed in the circle.”
Vivian smirked. “What did you do?”
“I sneezed.” Vivian snorted. “Ha-ha, keep laughing. I hope my next assignment is easier.”
“Oh you’ll like it.” Vivian smirked and tossed a folder on the desk. “Crop circles.”
Dog, Run, Big
“He’s not big enough.”
Kir woke as the voice filtered through the iron bars. Two men dressed in ornate robes, gold glinting on their ears. One carried the scent of mint. The other made Kir think of clean water, of a time when he had run free.
“I disagree.” In the dim light Kir saw Water’s pale blonde hair was fashioned into countless braids. “You would be a good dog, wouldn’t you?”
It had been so long since his last Change. When he was finished Kir leaned against the bars, fangs glinting in a sharp smile. “I might even fetch.”
