Just to update y'all. Still live with Doug, still have destroyer Kitten, still majoring in art history, still working at Tomasso's.
New: went to see advisor, omg she knows nothing about grad school, which was the point of my visiting her. i thought that it would be like in high school, have questions about college? see advisor. apparently not. have questions about grad school? talk to a professor. wtf, mate. so whatever. i'm not graduating until Aug 2007 b/c im going to get a minor in european history and a certificate in classical study b/c i want to focus on classics in grad school and if i want to go to the University of Viriginia and not be fluent in French and not do good on the GRE and not be involved in a thousand we love strangers clubs, then i'd better have something aside from a suma cum laude BA in art history to make them want me as badly as i want them.
word of advice, GRE sucks, don't go to grad school unless you absolutely need to, that way you don't have to take the GRE. this does not apply to people who are good at math and english and essays and analytical writing who don't mind being locked up in jail cell like room for four hours with no food, no drink, no bathroom, no break. if you fit that description, then go right ahead and take the GRE as many times as you can afford the $115 taking fee.
that's all, really going to go and try and study now.
bye
