These are crazy times
OK, I don't know why it's happening, but my fannish life has been totally unbelievable for the last month. The trip to UK was perfect: Much Ado About Nothing with David Tennant and Catherine Tate was so funny and entertaining, certainly one of the best plays I have ever seen. Then two weeks of traveling around Wales, I fell in love with that green country, its beautiful mountains, great castles, magical forests and ragged coast. And omnipresent sheep, of course :)
Few days after my return we met Kate Mulgrew alias Captain Janeway in Prague. My friends did a splendid job of organizing the event and she looked relaxed and really happy to be there.
And this weekend! I don't even know where to start...
On Saturday we had a Meet Hudson convention in the centre of Prague. Our two guests were Hudson Leick, Callisto from Xena, and Dayna Porter Chiplin, stunt performer and actress from New Zealand. Main show was awesome and afterparty had been fun. And what happened yesterday you cannot probably experience anywhere else. Two hours of a really intense yoga class with Hudson and then three hours long stunt workshop with Dayna. I'm still sore all over, but every minute was worth it. Dayna teached us some really nice moves and a even choreographed fight for the camera. The last part of program was a dinner with Hudson for dozen fans, where we actually got to know her in person. I have to thank the organizers, just a few years ago I wouldn't believe anything like this was possible, let alone in the city where I live.
