I need a "WTF" icon.
I thought being a shopgirl would give me ample blog material, but, dangit, the Talbot customer is aggravatingly polite and non confrontational.
Not that we don't ever get crazy people, though. On Sunday, no less than three people came up to me with an article of clothing in their hands and the question, "What color is this?"
Excuse me? What color is it? Um, yellow? Khaki? Dark brown? At first I thought they meant 'what color does the catalog call this?' You know, "hibiscus," "palm leaf," "deck red," etc. But no. They literally meant "what color of the rainbow is this thing here?"
It was weird. I had to try really hard not to look or sound snarky when I answered.
Oh, in case you're going to say "It was probably one of those weird browns that could be khaki, grey, or olive" -- no. The items in question were clearly yellow, khaki, and dark brown.
People be crazy.
