All dressed down to catch a whiff of the buzz
Smells like the death of the last great cause
But you & I, we've been through that and that is not our fate
Give my face to the back of your head
Loyal in your shadow
Yeah yeah yeah
Broken accidental stars
Do lawyers have lawyers?
Do landlords have landlords? we're wondering
One more cheap suit in the loop, more chlorine in the pool
The blonde dolls smiling behind us
Say, one day you'll be just like us
All dressed up to catch a glimpse of the list
We've seen some success, it looks like a camero
Yeah yeah yeah
Broken accidental stars
Tonight was a good night, I saw tegan and sara live with kelley. I learned that they are both indeed lesbians, and we were surrounded by them the entire night. Tegan and Sara both have the exact same voice, and it is wonderful. I spent their set looking at their faces seeing what they have in common and what they dont, trying to piece their parents together. Who got what from what. The bands before them weren't that great, they only gave me a backache and time to think about things. Most importantly... little brazil might have catchy songs but their stage antics are rip-offs of bands that already suck anyways. They were jumping and pogoing to songs that weren't even worth tapping your foot to. They got low to the ground on their guitars then shot back up hesitantly, wanting to jump up and be cool and swing their guitars. But they were scared and you could tell, wanting to put on a show to make up for the fact that their songs have been repeated over and over and over again by bands that are about as memorable as the names of the girls they got hand jobs from back stage. They reminded me of mediawhore (logan's going to kill me for this), all action and no play.
We talked to starkey for a while and it made me feel like I wasn't just another one of those girls that look up to him because he's so cool. He asked me to make some big elephant art for his new apartment... YEAH.
I hope you have fun in north carolina, and I want you to know I dont think things are better when you are gone.
