Does it make me a bad person that I don't want to remember?

I don't want to remember seeing those planes hit over and over again on the news.

I don't want to remember frantically trying to get in touch with my brother who was working just blocks away.

I don't want to remember getting the phone call saying that Cathy's husband was in Tower 2 and they hadn't heard from him in hours.

I don't want to remember Cathy having to bring personal items into the City so if they did find remains they could identify him.

I don't want to remember that their sons will grow up without a father.

Does that make me a bad person that I don't want to remember?
