OK. Jodi nominated me for Town Crier. Huh? I probably won't get elected, but I figured I would accept my nomination just for kicks.
Otherness: I want to do a workshop under sponsorship of the spiritual life committee next term.
"Incorporating Spirituality into Our Daily Lives."
My ideas for the workshop are as follows:
-Altars and home sacred spaces
--space, portability
--Symbols
-Regularly scheduled times for reflection
--meditation
--walks in the woods
-Personalized daily devotions
--portability
I could explain my current situation, and my current set of practices and then I would invite the participants to reflect on what symbols they might put on a home altar, what activities would suit them best for reflection, and what actions would best be incorporated into a daily/(particular unit of time-ly) devotional ritual.
What do you guys think? Is this an interesting workshop? Would you go to it? Is there anything I should include? Anything I shouldn't touch on? I'm really interested in your feedback.
