karaoke
I love karaoke.
I've started hitting the bar circuit. A friend of mine emcees karaoke and finally got me to come out one night, and I'm almost back to my local celebrity status. Well, I'm always a local celebrity because I work at hot topic. It's so weird to hear that I'm like mentioned around town as "that awesome short girl who works at hot topic." haha and also the gamer circle..."that girl who has the gold cartridge zelda bag!"
Anyway, I say that because on a random encounter today someone was like "Hey you sang at clancy's the other night, you were great!"
and that is awesome.
Daniel and I do a mean "bohemian rhapsody," so much so, the karaoke emcee saved it for us, and wouldn't let anyone else do it. I'm so excited about getting back to my karaoke roots. SO EXCITED. The downside is all the smoke in the bars is making my never-healing sore throat worse. But it's so worth it to come home reeking of smoke. Singing makes me so happy. haha like, all week I'm like "hmm, what songs should I do next time. OMG OMG I wonder if they have kate bush, and holy crap I'm SO doing ziggy stardust."
So, to all you drinkers/karaoke-ers/michele-lovers...I say come to LaDonna's karaoke night, because it's not based on how many people sing, it's based on how much money the bar makes on karaoke nights whether or not it keeps going, and I'm not helping that at all.
