Sushi meetup: PHOENIX DRAGON (Providence), Thu, 1/13, 7:00pm
Many of you will remember the Phoenix Dragon, especially because of the wonderfully original hand-carved animals the sushi chef fashions from carrots. The food was excellent as well! It's very easy to find, only a minute off I-95 and right next to the historic Columbus Theater, with ample free parking both in the lot and on the street along Broadway.
I apologize for the very late notice this month, but there were complications arising because my first choice venue decided that they were unable to accommodate us due to other business, and because of the winter storm now in progress that is predicted to dump between 12 and 18 inches of snow on Providence. Although prospective attendees should be alert to announcements via e-mail, at this time it is expected that the snowfall will end around 9:00pm Wednesday, giving ample time for road plowing and other clean-up by the time of our sushi meetup nearly a full day later.

Directions:
From the north: Take I-95 southbound to Exit 21, then at the _2nd_ light turn _right_ onto Broadway. Continue about one quarter-mile and turn left onto Battey St, then immediately turn right into the parking lot.
From the south: Take I-95 northbound to Exit 21, then at the _1st_ light turn _left_ onto Broadway. Continue about one quarter-mile and turn left onto Battey St, then immediately turn right into the parking lot.
Note that the traffic lights previously at the intersection of Broadway and Battey St have been disabled.
RIPTA: The 27 and 28 routes go directly past the restaurant, which in any case is walking distance from Kennedy Plaza.
HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION
Since our previous event at this venue, full access to and from I-95 in both northbound and southbound directions has been reopened.
This Meetup repeats on the 2nd Thursday of every month.
