Hannah and Amanda joined me for a Dredg/Coheed and Cambria/other bands that suck concert up in Nashville. While we were trying to scour for tickets outside, we met the keyboard player for Coheed and Cambria. He was just chill, smokin, you know. Nice guy. For the 6 songs they played, and for the 3 that we heard, Dredg was awesome. The singer would freak out sometimes, and when he did, Hannah and I both looked at each other, obviously turned on by his enigmatic actions. (We're both weak for obscure musicians.) I will definitely be on the lookout for more visual Dredg.
That night was cool, plus the day that followed. As Tyler and I were sitting on the front porch of their humble home, I wished so badly that I lived up there. Tyler doesn't seem to be phased by the aura of Nashville, but I love it. Maybe i'm just in love with a different place; in love with more roads to discover; in love with how happy I am to know that I'll be up near there soon.
My drive home today was successful: no ticket(s). I did realize, though, that Tool makes my nipples hard. What? They do.
I miss Tyler. I miss his friends. The only thing I miss here is my bed.
