Since my last entry, I ...
-have been in a car ! My first! Sometimes I really feel like Jonas (SG-1). It was a really minor rear ending. The worst part was that it took an hour to deal with (we missed two ferries) and poor Zoe was pretty shaken by it. And the ticket that came with it. Ick.
-have seen Monica in Seattle-- we ate lunch at Pike Place. Mmmm, mac n cheese.
-have flown to Chicago. The Munchkin weighed in at 52 pounds. Plus the 30lbs bag on my chest and my sleeping bag. My entire life in less than 90 pounds.
-have eaten at Maggiano's with tons of Scavvies and college buddies. So yummy.
-drank at Fado with Yak, Fuzz, Tabby, Stewy and Hillary (the only real name on the list...)
-saw Dar Williams, RJD2 and George Clinton and the PFunk perform live. It was amazing. Getting that many U(C) students to dance and yell and have fun! OMG. A Thompsonite started to dance with me but was booted out of they way by Sarah. Go her.
-saw Fuzz dance. Also, amazing.
-ate a delightfully cheesy meal at the Med with Sarah, Tabby and Fuzz. Yay. These are people I miss.
-have driven (well, been driven) many many hours into Michigan, thru Indiana
-have slept in a tent! Woot! Next to RVs, less than woot. In Montague, MI.
AND
-sat on a dune next Silver Lake-- pretty. My brain is still trying to wrap itself around the idea of water you swim in that doesn't have salt and yet isn't drinkable. So confusing. I like all of the lakes in this area of Michigan tho.
The after-school crowd is encroaching (the Hart High mascot seems to be the Pirate, FYI)... time to go drink some beer.
