HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREA!
I'm still in Eugene. Not seeing much reason to move on just yet. There's an improv show tonight and a party this weekend. I'll probably head back to Portland on Monday and hang out there until the 12th. I think I'll have to change hostels at some point thanks to stupid travel lodge rules.
Spent most of yesterday sitting on the UO lawn. In the sun. So much happy. I like it here-- in Eugene. I can actually see myself coming here for more schooling. My mom thinks I should sit in on some classes while I'm here but I so don't want to. I think that when the time comes, I'll have to sort out what I want and what I can afford and where I want to be. Any looking I do now will most likely just cloud my future judgement. Plus, whereever I decide to do my next round of schooling will probably involve a period of residency before I enroll and I can figure out the details then.
Bah, details.
Today, I'm planning on working on my knife sheath a bit and calling some East people. A poem for Joanie. A rambling message for Bethany. Maybe some more letter writing. I've been thwarted in previous attempts at finishing letters thanks to my mossy green arm. It is feeling a bit better tho. I'm trying to stretch it and not overwork it. Not repacking every day is helping nicely. So are the frozen blueberries in Dana's freezer. And the 800mg of Ibuprofen I've been taking twice daily. It still looks all puffy tho. *whine*
Yesterday on the lawn I saw many things that made me happy. A number of nice, cute mohawks. There was one guy with a tree tattooed on his back (it looked like the giving tree or something) and a short hawk. There was also an old timey band that came out and started playing randomly. The guitarist was wearing a crab hat. Awesome. There was also much shirtless hackysack. It's like a school full of the Ultimate team :) There's a street fair on campus which has been fun to wander thru. I got a pyrite encased amomite (chambered snail shell looking thing-- but shiny) that I'm turning into a necklace.
OK-- time to go dooo something. Sew a seam. Find a chilled drink. Maybe a pint.
