Allo, as you may know, I am the 1st Sgt of the 75th squadron in CAP. My current rank is Staff Sergeant, but yesterday I passed PT, Leadership 4, Aerospace Education 3 (Air Environment), and a drill test all in one night. Therefore, next week I make Tech Sergeant. :)
The only problem was doing 49 curl-ups in 60 seconds.... with a spiked belt. That HURT.
A word on my political affiliation - I consider myself centrist, with slight conservative leanings. Some of my more radical beliefs:
*I believe that global warming is a bald-faced lie, perpetuated by politicians for their own personal gain, and not by real scientists.
*I believe that when the constitution says we have the right to bear arms, that means more than just BB Guns and Airsoft rifles. This is not Japan. If someone attacks me or my family/property, I would prefer to defend myself in a way that guarantees they won't have the opportunity to do so twice. I oppose an assault rifle ban. (Thermonuclear warheads are a different story though)
*I believe that a "fetus" is a human, all the same. I believe that abortion is homicide, and that an abortion to save a mother's life is justifiable under the same terms as homicide is.
*I believe that communism is a wonderful idea on paper, but is not practical because of our sin nature.
*I believe that we should support our president, no matter who it is. Our troops deserve this support as well.
*I support a federal sales tax on commodities to replace an income tax.
*I oppose same-sex marriage.
*I oppose a timed withdrawal from Iraq.
That's just a few, but that will give you an idea of my more conservative leanings. As a centrist? I believe that we should be stewards of the earth, and protect it - as long as we aren't protecting it from windmill-monsters like global warming. Thank you Don Quixote. As for Health-care/Welfare, I believe that the government should help people get their feet back on the ground, and stop there! The US Government is not a money tree, do not treat it as such.
