When you say "independent no-budget film," you rarely think of a picture featuring a U.S. senator, a international politico-pop star, a Diplomatic Security Service Agent, helicopters, SWAT teams, and a big old showdown at a major metropolitan sports arena! But that's what you get with TERROR REPORT. It's an eighty-minute feature film produced by Michael Heagle, the writer-producer-director of GO TO HELL (1999) and PLANETFALL (2005). The film has been made in conjunction with students of the Art Institutes International Minnesota, where Michael is an instructor in the Visual Effects program.
TERROR REPORT tells the story of a pair of CIA agents working on two different ends of the war on terror: Sinclair King, the implanted dictator of an African country, and Benjamin Hatcher, a loose cannon with a score to settle. When liberal-leaning Senator Gilbert Brennan arrives in town to take part in a rock-stars-for-peace benefit, an assassination plan is launched -- kill the senator before he can bring his controversial war-on-terror document to light. And a staged terrorist attack is just the cover Hatcher needs.
Sunday September 17th 2006, TERROR REPORT will premiere in the Twin Cities at the Heights Theater! Shows will be at 3pm and 7pm in this great 1920's-era theater! Plus, we have a bonus show scheduled at 7pm on Tuesday Sept 19th for all who can not make it Sunday. Admission to all shows is only $5!
Directions to the Heights are attached. Please pass the word on to everyone you can think of! I mean it, just forward this to anyone who you know who thinks that the war on terror is not exactly on the up and up, or those who think Jerry Bruckheimer films are a hoot. Yes, it's possible to be both. We need to make this showing a resounding success. If you want to pick up promotional materials like fliers or posters, just let Michael Heagle know at this e-mail address.
Hope to see you there!
