I'll miss you, Daddy
Michael Grantner, 59 of Porter, IN, formerly of Highland, IN, born on June 22, 1959, died on December 17, 2009, at 12:09 AM at St. Margaret Mercy Hospital, losing a long battle with diabetes, renal disease, and heart disease. His memory lives on with his wife Marilyn, his daughters Elizabeth and Margaret, and is also lovingly remembered by Paul (Bonnie) Grantner, Cathy (Sam) Grantner Coltun, Mark (Kim) Grantner, John Grantner, Mary Grantner, and Patty (Harold) Therault and many cousins, neices, neqhews and friends. He was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Josephine and sister Christine. Mike loved to cook, having studied Culinary Arts at Ivy Tech College and the Hotel du Palais in France. He received the USA Culinary Award of Excellence in 2001. He was an active member of St Anne of the Dunes. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Monday, December 21 at Burns Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave. in Munster, and a funeral mass will be held at St Anne of the Dunes church. 433 East Golfwood Road in Beverly Shores at 10 AM on Tuesday, December 22.
