Countering the unproductive day I had last week, today has been good. Lots of fixing up little things.
School
- Semester schedule: finalized. I'm taking 6 credits and am looking forward to a lighter semester than last.
- M.A. final project: I have a reader! Professor Rob Boynton from the J-school agreed to be my reader/thesis approver.
- M.A. final project: I have a project! I will be investigating missionary work at Cairo, Egypt as a form of intervention, focusing on one particular college student group. Just got an OK from the IV Global Urban Trek director giving me permission to contact track directors and schedule interviews. Good start.
LJ
- LJ layout: I tweaked my LJ layout today. My first dabbling into S2 and CSS. Added some boxes and a search bar (since I use search bars obsessively). Let me know if anything malfunctions.
- LJ links: In case you're curious, the LJ links function has a max entry number of 50. I found out the manual way ;)
News, Random
- Our Animal Crossing town now has a Golden Axe. Just thought y'all need to know this useless fact.
- Remember my link to the giant jellyfish a few days ago? Well, here is an article about a giant octopus. Bunching these together with the giant squid article back in September 2005, we now have the giant tentacle-y collection complete: squid, jellyfish, octopus.
- And let's not forget that Kobe Bryant scored 81 points in the Lakers vs. Raptors game last night. I'm neither a fan of Kobe or the Lakers, but that performance was impressive!
Now to write my paper...
