My art for rubystandish's fic "Part of Your World". It's a wonderful Little Mermaid AU for the 1upona-sabriel comm's yearly Fairytale Challenge.

The event that started it all. Prince Sam's thirst for adventure (and his curiosity) almost get him killed. At least Gabriel is there to save him from himself. (It's only fair, since it's his fault.)
Gabriel makes a Deal with the youthful Mountain Witch.
Prince Samuel finds a man on the mountain, but is it the same Golden Stranger that had saved him? (Sam is never getting that cloak back, jsyk.)
For extra insurance, Ruby takes on a new guise to lure Sam away from his Golden Stranger.
