So ancient Roman slang for prostitutes was luperca/i..."wolves". So many lulz.
Okay, what I'm trying to figure out is: WHY are these shows trying to say people think of the Egyptians (and Romans and Greeks) as buttoned up and repressed? Certainly the archeologists of the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries who tried to cover it up were. But these are people who use phalli as street signs, and whose central myth of divine unified kingship has pivotal scenes wherein the widowed queen makes her dead husband a fake penis with which to impregnate her, and the two contestants for ruling essentially molest each other as much as they fight.
Oh, and Egyptians related music with sex ♥ ♥ ♥
EDIT: So in exploring sexuality in ancient Egypt, there is no mention of Set's role as the god of same-sex desire, or the tomb of Niankhkhnum and Khnumhotep. I see how it is. Just for that, I am going to draw lots of Set/Horus smut.
No really, first recorded pickup line in history was between two fighting males: "How lovely your backside is"! XD
EDIT 2.0: So every depiction of group sex/multiple couples/multiple images in a limited space is indicative of prostitution? Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.
