there was a recommended post from a "relationship help" comm. The question was Why do girls run away if you tell that you like them?
My knee-jerk reaction?
Because we're so used to "I like you" being shorthand for "I'll tell you I like so so you'll do what I want and give me things while I'm laughing at you behind your back and then when YOU want something I'll laugh in your face and walk away".
Cynical much?
Glad I didn't post that as the general consensus seems to be that the OP is "very young," perhaps junior high or high school. Although hearing that may do the kid some good.
