So, i just got my official score report from ETS.
Well, I never thought I would have to take the goddamn GENERAL GRE again, but it looks like I'm gonna have to.
Verbal=800 - this is the one admissions people within most physics departments care LEAST about.
Math=740 - BARELY adequate for successful applicants at the schools I'm applying to. This is the sort of math they expect you to be able to do while dead.
Writing=4.5 - not good, especially considering the fact that I have no problem writing good essays! Never have! Or so i thought...
These don't seem like bad scores and people tend to roll their eyes at me when I start bitching about this kind of stuff. But the schools I'm applying to routinely reject applicants with perfect credentials. So yeah. Time for round 2.
And the Subject test is in 2 weeks. Jim-Bob's Graduate School of Truck-Drivin' anyone?
