So I missed a big part of the Fernando Drama earlier but the basics are these
Fernando's is restaurant in Pittsburgh that has done a solid for the furry community. It hasn't just been welcoming it has been kind helpful and most of all interested in giving good service. The owner even gets pictures with the suiters when they come into his establishment and he's given great discounts and help to the con goers in the past. There are even reports where he helped some furs in trouble more then once.
To help cover some of the debt Uncle Kage put together a donation drive to help Fernando end the business and not have it crush him. They were hoping for roughly $4000.00 USD. They have at last count gotten over $18,000 USD. Which may in fact save the business from going under.
Other places have lost out in this economy and a lot of other good eateries are dead (Cory's for instance unfortunately has gone under)
Still Fernando went the extra mile for the furries and it only seems fair that we do the same. There is still time to donate and you don't have to do it, especially if you're on a tight budget, but if you can please see Kage's journal entry:
