random long update-y type post, kinda, sorta, maybe
ok so... the last few weeks have been busy. and painful. teh wrists are driving me madder than the mad hatter. but I shall prevail eventually. no clue if/when I will catch up on the f-list (damn y'all post a lot rofl). I took yesterday off so I wouldn't have to work a full 10 hours on my birthday. I was a lazy bum. it was wonderful. *grins* it was also gorgeous outside when I managed to peek out so yay. had a good day. also beat the crap out of some bad guys in one of my games while ignoring my wrists for the day. it was teh fun.
Atlantis. talk about stupid SciFi promos. and also? this has to be the dumbest "cliffhanger" season ending EVER. seriously guys. more anticlimactic than the opposite. *le sigh* but I'll watch season 5 anyway. mostly cause I wanna know how long Woolsey's gonna last before Rodney and/or Shep and/or Ronon go nutty and threaten to strangle him (or find a more creative way to dispose of him rofl). *blinks innocently* why no, I'm not advocating anything of the sort. why do you ask?
BSG. is it April 4 yet? also? Razor is finally next on my netflix list. rofl.
LOST. I totally called who was on the boat. bwahaha am loving the season thus far. yay!
Project Runway. why oh why did it have to be "fierce boy"? oh yeah. 'cause the guest judge was Mrs Beckham. *le sigh* oh well. at least it wasn't "drape boy". now it's time for Top Chef instead. much more fun, with more drama. *snicker* yes this is why I watch these shows. *snicker*
Dancing with the Stars. Penn amused me, too bad he won't be around long. I thought Marlee was great (and wow that she's on there at all, I just think she's fantastic) I loved Jason Taylor and Kristi Yamaguchi. no, I don't think she has any more of an advantage than anyone else with a background in choreographed numbers (*cough* broadway girl, any number of boy band people who've been on before, Spice girls, etc *cough*) I think she just has that much of a competetive spirit. seriously, it's like ballroom dancing versus tap/jazz versus ballet. it's a whole diff set of skills. just because you have that kind of background, doesn't mean you make it to the final. just look at past finalists: a boxer, a speed skater, a couple of football players, a WWE wrestler, a few actors, a couple of boy band reps, I don't know what category to put Marie Osmond in lmao, a Spice Girl, and a racecar driver. Only one of the winners had what I call choreography experience before, that being Drew Lachey in season 2. Yes, this also has to do with fan preference but still. come on people. lay off Kristi. she's that good because she's just that competitive and wants to get that good that fast. period. end of story. steps down off soap box

and also? what's this about an LJ Content Strike from 8 EST tonight to 8 EST tomorrow? not going to affect me since I won't be back on again anytime soon (probly) anyway but, are any of y'all participating? I don't see many of you mentioning it but just curious.
oh and also? am going with carencey77 and others to Shore Leave this summer, where I'm excited to see Teh Hewlett siblings and George Takei and Mark Sheppard (sorry Adam Baldwin, never was a big Firefly fan). I'm also going to be a Gen Volunteer with the Stargate track at D*C, where we have Don Davis, David Nykl, Cliff Simon, Jewel Staite, Morena Baccarin, Robert Picardo, and Pierre Bernard (rofl) confirmed so far, at least (probably sharing a couple of them with other tracks lol). So yay! I'm looking forward to a great Con summer. with lots of pics to share (much more and much better than the ones I never got around to sharing last year, I promise).
