Okay, I was gonna post this yesterday, but it wasn't letting me post anything.
I got an email from narniaweb.com, it seems that
they're casting "an extremely talented actor aged 11 to 14" to play Eustace Scrubb in Dawn Treader. Fair enough, they do need someone for the role, and at least they'll be in the right age bracket.
My issue is that... "It's understood that whoever plays this role will be placed 'under option' for the next film". Now wait just a cotton pickin' second, they cast a 26 year old, to play a 13 year old Caspian in Prince Caspian just so that the same guy can also play a 17 year old Caspian in Dawn Treader. Yet, Eustance, who is the same age in Dawn Treader and Silver Chair, might be played by 2 different people??? WTF???
I wish they'd stop messing with those stories. Those are my stories, my life. Why must they insist on making bad decisions regarding the movies?
Is it any wonder I have bad dreams about going to see Caspian & it being so bad that I walk out half way through?!
*sigh*
