Taken from yaoi

So we're all well-informed people here, and we all know that today (October 12) is the beginning of the Marriage Protection Week, right? This event, that promotes homophobia under a smiling Good Christian facade, has gained approval of the USA's president, who's made some painful statements about it. If you didn't know about this yet, do visit their website and read their statement of purpose. It doesn't matter if you're not from the US -I'm not. But inform yourself, this is a very serious issue.

So what can we do about it? Protest, of course. Make your voice heard, even if the only way you can do that is at LiveJournal. Take this week to make your statement that your LJ supports gay marriage - post your boy/boy girl/girl drawings, rant away, post your favourite fic recs, write yaoi and yuri till your fingers bleed, wear your gayest LJ icon. Don't have a yaoi icon to show off? Just steal one of mine. From October 12 to 18, show your disapproval of this nonsense in any way you can.

Don't forget to participate in the LJ National Protest Day, as suggested by dolomir. And spread the word around you too. Tell everyone, everywhere. To hell with all this people telling you who you should love or not.
