I have officially stopped regular purchace of BOTH Batman and 'Tec for only about the fourth or fifth time since the 80's. Feels WEIRD when I do that. Srsly.

I just switched over to the Morrison book, to me that is the regular Batman title now. I hadn't been picking up Detective regularly in some time since the 90's, maybe an odd issue or so... but I am kinda diggin on the Question and the Batwoman stories look really pretty and are decent enough for me to not consider dropping it.

I adore the artwork, and I love renee, it just isn't worth the money to me with how little I care about Kate. I'm still buying BandR too, I'm not exactly happy with Morrison overall in his effects on the verse, to put it mildly, but he entertains me and I have it on good authority I'm one of the only bat-fans in the world that likes the little Scrappy of the Bat-Verse, Damian. Plus I'm buying Sirens and Streets, so really, I am getting the 'Tec and Batman I WAS buying, writer wise ;)

Oh! I could never! Seriously, doing so would freak me out, even though I have no interest in Batwoman. None. Zippo. Batman has been a fine read though. In fact, I'm surprised at just how much I've been enjoying the Bat-titles these days. I thought they were going to suck. I'm even starting to accept Damian, lord help me! Sirens isn't crucial to the overall plot, but do I ever love it.

Psst, Don't worry, I actually, truly really LIKE Damian. I mean, I don't like AT ALL what he does to the timeline, and I really despise - Not just in an I'm being a wanky bat-fan way, but in an I Am Genuinely Offended By This way - The idea that his mother frickin' DATE RAPED her Beloved to get him, and I think training or no training, putting him on the right path or NOT, Dick would NEVER go in the field with a TEN YEAR OLD, but god help me, I find him lovable in such an odd, wrong way!

Sirens isn't crucial to the overall plot, but do I ever love it.

I think that's a blessing in it's way, yeah, all this crazy stuff is going on but... .Don't worry girls, you're safe. Over there, and Paul's got you. You'll be fine, except for the art. ;)

I think Dick would take him into the field because (and only because) Damian is so off kilter. He knows that Damian would just run off an do it on his own anyway in his, "OMG! I'm the son of Batman! I'm freakin' awesome!" way. Dick is honestly saving his life by taking him on death-defying missions...as weird as that sounds.

I agree in a way, but I find the set-up and situation so contrived, and Dick doesn't show the conflict about it that would be in character for him. It's one of those "Yeah, if completely screwed up and contrived condition x was in place, I guess dick would do x so I guess it makes sense but... but WHY?" things for me...

Although "Yeah if completely screwed up and contrived condition x was true then it follows that..." is basically Everything About Damian Wayne, really. ;)
