it's a silly time to learn swim when you start to drown

On Wednesday night, I went swimming with Ash at the PAC and he was a little late so I swam for a good 15 minutes and then he found me. I was somewhat disappointed because I was on a roll and my heartrate was going but it was good to see him. We treaded water for about 25 minutes, just talking and then we swam for the last 20 minutes. Anyway, this is irrelevant to what I really want to get to.

There was this guy swimming in the lane Ash and I were in, that every time we passed each other and I breathed in through my nose, I smelled cologne. Sorry, but that’s disgusting that there was enough cologne on him that after being completely immersed in watch and swimming lengths (the flow didn’t take it off?!) that the smell was so strong I could smell it in a pool. I’m not sure how scents are made these days but I never knew they were waterproof. Plus the cologne smelled awful. I’m not sure if it bothered me more that he smelled so bad or that he really should’ve been in the SLOW LANE. YOU DO NOT STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A LENGTH! I wish the lifeguards had some enforcement for proper lane swimming etiquette.

Btw, I stopped at a local swim store and found the exact same bathing I had lost. But alas, it was too small. I’ll get another one when they get a new order in or when I’m in Markham next weekend. /sad

Today we went tubing and it was amazing.
