Because it’s been a long, hard road. Because there’s already too many tears being shed. Because of ‘whys’, ‘what-ifs’, and ‘how-can-theys’. Because of secret meetings behind conference rooms that create and dissolve relationships with a signature. Because of contractual language that really means nothing. Because of four-letter acronyms that are just four-letter acronyms and yet can mean everything.
Because you can imagine his high notes intertwining with three lower voices in ‘W,’ the climax of a perfect harmony. Because with his sharp yet graceful pops and waves, he will set the stage on fire if he dances to ‘Mission Make It.’ Because you can hear three more voices - sweet, husky, and soothing - singing ‘Maximum.’ Because this still isn’t goodbye. Because of almost seven years and counting.
Because it’s too early to stop believing. Because it’s never too late to hope. Because faith doesn’t run out this easily. Just because.
