I haven’t been able to eat today. Went out to the French shop for lunch, looked in, and just kept walking. Walked around for a while, came back to the shop. Scanned the menu quite a few times before my eyes focused on it. Had half a mind to leave again, keep walking. My eyes stopped on a sandwich that sounded joyful to me. Can a sandwich sound joyful? I didn’t know why but it offered consolation, as if its ingredients were meant to soothe. I ordered it. Then, I realized its name - Capri. It made me smile. Strange, the things our subconscious remembers.
