Mum in 3 months

Firstly I would like to thank Protocultured Ben, my rock, my friend and what feels like my guardian angel.

2 weeks ago was probably the most stressful week of my life, I was having a few minor health issues which required me to get an x-ray.

It was suspected I had a calcified lymph node, so many thoughts were running through my mind. There were so many cases of cancer in my family history, I was thinking the worst, then I found out I could be pregnant, so then my worries were far more different, I was beside myself.

When Caj wasn't around to calm me down Ben was able to talk to me on the phone, he knew how to make me laugh, he knew what to say to make me worry less.
I didn't feel like talking about it to anyone else because I didn't feel anyone could console me the way he knew how.

Now I have found out I have no cancer but I am 6 months pregnant. I must admit even though having kids down the track was my plan in the grand scheme of things I wasn't used to the idea immediately. But Ben was able to point out the positives and gave me great advice.

The plan is the wedding will still go ahead in September, and Ben will still be my man of honour. Thanks Ben, you are an awesome guy and I wish nothing but happiness for you. I love you so much. You are my best friend.

Caj is getting used to the idea of becoming a dad, it really hit him when he saw the ultrasound. The baby made a waving hand movement when we scanned over my tummy, I know there was no way the baby could know what it was doing. But it was what we both needed, we realised we will be responsible for this little life.

Being pregnant explains why my weight plateaued at 79kg despite changing my diet and exercising 3 times a week. My keto diet ensures I show no symptoms of pregnancy, so I was none the wiser.

All I have to do is start eating 1200 calories a day instead of 1000 and start eating low carb. I will still be able to fit into my wedding dress after the baby is born because I will definitely be able to shed the weight I've gained.

I am a very active person and being pregnant is no excuse for me to slow down and get fat. I feel more driven than ever to be happy and healthy, more motivated than the wedding has made me in the past year.

I was worried I will have to give up my studies but my tafe co-ordinator has told me they can switch me to part time when the baby is born so I can do night classes and Caj can take care of the baby.
My teachers are very supportive and proud of my work and want me to stay on which is so great.

I have also looked into 2 more business ventures for Victoria's Kingdom, once I have more details I will share them.

I am so stoked and so happy that my life is perfect!

I am marrying the man of my dreams with my best friend at my side, I will have a family and a business I enjoy caring and working for.

And the plan is for me to stay in Melbourne till my jewellery course is complete and Caj has his Architect Accreditation. Who knows what will happen after that, we might move abroad to Europe for a while when Caj gets his EU passport.
