Bwahaha, I -just- got that email, too, and had the same thought.

Also, I wondered at the fact that Stephen van Rensselaer apparently had the foresight to record what he would want immortalized in the pavement of a future athletic complex, were RPI to build one and allow custom messages to be incorporated into it.

I also wondered at the fact that Stephen van Rensselaer apparently wanted to immortalize the words "GO RED". But hey, I'm sure that's accurate, right?

I'm just wondering what you could slip past them. There have got to be some terrific geek jokes or anagrams that would be appropriate here...

Given the price of them, a one-liner "Why I Didn't Change the World" might be appropriate, but I doubt they'd let that through. Similarly: "Siphylus: One Word Changes Everything".
