So...IDEK what happened, but Young Justice is the most amazing thing ever? I'm not even halfway through the first anon fic meme post and I'm like, drowning in an endless sea of amazing. Hyperactive baby fandom leapfrogging and drawing from comics stuff, yaaaaay!
Things are just getting started so I'm not even sure of my own taste yet, but weirdly I find myself skipping almost all of the shippy stuff and devouring and making dolphin-noises over the gen. Even more than in One Piece, for crying out loud. Aside from everyone in YJ being, y'know, unbearably adorable and awesome, and the whole team thing being great fun, I think my comics preferences are bleeding over. In that I'm so painfully OTP about Tim/Kon that I don't have a lot of interest in reading Robin and Superboy with anyone else, even when they are totally not the same Robin and Superboy even a little bit. *shrugs helplessly* Brain, what are you even.
That being said, I probably shouldn't like the YJTwitter group as much as I do, but...they're pretty entertaining, especially the Superboy and Robin. |D ...I know, a Twitter RP, I didn't even know anything about Twitter RP and couldn't figure out what the hell was going on/how to follow them, but they're mentioned everywhere in the fandom, so. I think I'll just poke my head over every once and while to see what hilarious thing they've done next.
I apparently also have a Tumblr now. 8|a Who knows if it'll get any use, but damn if I don't find I'm liking the format more the more random DCU blogs I stumble over. It'll take a while to figure out - fffff what r new platforms fdsjklf - but I really like the set-up. It's so easy throw up anything you find that you like - links, reblogging other people, pictures, videos, and then commenting on any of them...Well. I've only scratched the surface, but we'll see if I stick with it, I guess! I'm liking it more than Twitter, in any case. :)a
In other news, I went ziplining on Catalina for my birthday, and actually finally saw dolphins on the way over. Dozens of them, actually, and a few sea lions, too, right along the side of the boat! Leaping and diving under and all, haaaaah so fun XD It's kind of been this running thing that I always miss the dolphins, so that was preeeetty cool. And the zipline itself, ffffff - pure amazing. :D Hundreds of feet up, and you're on these wooden platforms dangling (perfectly safe) precariously from this cable and then you just leap off into space and you're flying over the whole island, the ocean in the distance. It went so fast that it was like a race to stare around and take in everything as quick as possible, and the wind whipped so hard that I was always afraid I was going to lose my glasses.
I loved it. |D
Anyway, the last thing I wanted to throw up here was this awesome podcast on Ancient Rome that I've been listening to, literally every idle minute I don't have immediate access to my computer. I burned like fifty episodes onto this one CD and just, walking around the house, eating, driving to and from work (with one earphone in, I'm not suicidal >.>) - coooonstantly listening, and I love it. :D I've always had a fascination with ancient Rome, but I've never actually read up on it like I've always wanted to. Then I started researching for this one character, and it's such an interesting subject. All of the context and references I'm suddenly getting, omg! \o/
So if anyone else is a fan of ancient world history, I highly recommend
The History of Rome. :)b ...Yes I'm a nerd, deal with it. B|
