New Years Eve
Okay, we stayed in because of the weather. I think most people around here did. I drank too much wine and should NOT have woken up to drinking root beer. Lethal combo, let me tell you!
Dev and I went out this afternoon to run some errands, it was nice to get out. There's still snow, slush and ice on the ground - it made for fun times in parking lots. I got to see where Dev works, then we went to Shaw's and ran into Glen there. After blocking up the entrance to the grocery, we went separate ways. Dev and I ended up at another supermarket so he could return a red box rental. We then trudged around Borders for about 45 minutes. It probably would have been longer but they made an announcement that the store was closing at 6. We tried to hit up Newberry Comics, but it was closing up shop when we got there.
We ended up eating dinner at Friendly's, they had a meal deal thing where you could pick a drink, meal and sundae for $9.99. We got our sundaes to go, but it was good. I don't remember the last time I had a sundae, it was definitely a nice treat.
I've been watching First 48 and No Reservations marathons. I'm such an old fart!
We might try to go to Boston tomorrow as long as its not snowing again. Glen is playing with a band tomorrow night as well, so we're going to head out to that. Not quite sure what's going on Saturday - Dev has to work and I leave Sunday. He's going to have to drop me off at the airport about an hour early so he can make it back to town for work.
Its been a nice, relaxing trip. Fizzgig (Dev's cat) is making me feel at home. She jumps up on the couch so I can pet her - she head butts me just like Pootie. Its so cute.
The cold isn't getting to me as much as I thought it would. The wind is what kills, oh the wind. >.>
