Pembroke Hill School class of 2005 (the people I should have graduated with; my friends, classmates, and peers for 5 years):

Number of people going to Ivy League schools (or MIT): 10 (11%)
Number of people going to generally considered "very good" schools: 34 (37%)
Number of people going to generally considered "decent" schools: 16 (18%)
Number of people going to KU: 8 (9%)
Number of National Merit finalists/semifinalists/commended: 31 (34%)
Number of people who got into first/second choice schools: 85 (93%)

Number of those who are not preppy girls but rather, very surprisingly, nerdy tree-loving boys: 1 (14%)

Number of bitchy principals who almost wouldn't let me have a senior picture last year until my mom made a fuss, and who this year decided to take the results of a health/wellness survey and use them to justify drug tests, so that now students won't feel comfortable answering honestly on surveys of that type, destroying their utility (on the other hand, the students left are so drugged up/drunk they might not figure out they shouldn't answer honestly):1
